Pictures!

So I said in my last blog I would post pictures of the wonderful place we are staying in Virgina and I have just now gotten around to doing so! We have been crazy busy here, but we are loving it all. Okay here is the first picture, it is of the outside of the building we are staying in, the kids are in front of it, but the building is so big and the kids look so small!

The building we are living in has another family that has a sweet baby(that Lizzie just loves) and three single people! I'm sure my kids have probably made them all crazy by know! This next picture is of our kitchen. We only have a kitchen and 3 bedrooms and a bathroom!

The kitchen is super tinny, but thankfully I don't have to cook! We eat all 3 meals in the cafeteria and everyone knows how much I love that! Okay so the next pictures are of the bedrooms. Lizzie gets a room to herself, it is something to do with Virgina and the laws they have about boys and girls sharing a room.So this next picture is of her room.

Okay so next is the boys room. Timothy and Parker are in bunk beds and Benjamin is in a crib, and they are all in there together! SO far it is working just fine!

And last is mine and Rays room! And yes those are twin beds pushed together! All the rooms have twin beds! All the rooms have twin beds, it is just cheaper for them to buy twin beds then try to furnish different sized beds for all the rooms!

So as you can see, its not very big! But we don't spend to much time inside. The weather has been great and the kids have been outside playing with their new friends all the time! This is a beautiful place, maybe next blog I will post some pictures of the kids playing outside, but don't hold your breath, we have been here for almost 2 weeks and I am just now posting these!

life in Virginia!

So I know its been a few days and but things have been crazy busy here in Virginia! We made it here on Tuesday and we have been going since! We have been doing all kinds of great things and learning new stuff already...it is almost overwhelming!

We have tree bedroom apartment kinda thing. But to call it an apartment is really not true. We share a common living room and then in my family part we have a small kitchen and 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. (pictures to come soon!) It has been hard to find a place for all 6 of our stuff, but I managed just fine and we are making it!

The kids love school....what a blessing!! There has been tears and screaming and running out of rooms! The teachers are just great and they have made it wonderful for the kids. Timothy's teacher even made cupcakes for his birthday today because they knew I wouldn't have a chance! The weather has been good, it rained our first day, but today it is beautiful and the kids have been able to play outside on the play grounds here.

We are really going to enjoy our time here, thanks for everyone who prays for our family...don't stop!! I will post pictures next time so everyone can see where it is we are living!

The Best Day Ever!!!

Okay this is the one I have been waiting to write....my trip to Loretta Lynn's!

This is the front of her house she doesn't live in this home anymore, she lives behind it I will post a picture later in this blog!
Okay so we drove down this long road and the anticipation is just killing me....I have waited for this day for many years! We thought we would just look around and not pay to do the tours, but once I got there I would have payed anything to see it all! We toured a replica of her Butcher Huller home and that was fan-sticken-tastic! Here is a picture of it...the only down fall is you couldn't take pictures inside any of the buildings

We also toured a fake mine she had built on the property to show the hard work of men like her father.

We toured one floor of her ranch home and it was just as wonderful as I thought it would be! There were rooms that different parts of the film Coal Miners Daughter were filmed in....ahhh could it get any better then that???
This was a dream come true for me...I will have to say it was also a dream come true I'm sure for some of the other people on the tour all of whom were over 60!! Oh well!! Here is one last picture of the ranch, this is where she lives now, as I said she lives behind the house we toured...I almost knocked on her door!

Thanks to my wonderful husband for a super great anniversary present!

Day one!!

Okay so we made it almost to Nashville! It was a pretty good travel day, not a lot of crying and not very much whining....although there were so moments...

As you can see Benjamin wasn't happy! But it wasn't all like that. Here is a picture of when we first got started....all smiles

We made several stops today and we even saw Graceland, from the street! But at least we can say we saw it! And I even took a picture of it, but I will spare you...it didn't turn out do hot! Tomorrow is a big day for us, well mostly me, it the day we go to Hurricane Mills to see where Loretta Lynns ranch is!! I am very excited about and there will be lots of pictures and for sure a blog or two about it!

and the bags are packed.....

I thought it would be fun to post a blog showing everyone our boxes that we are taking to Romania..maybe fun isn't the right word, how about interesting! So here they are...

This is all we have left in the world, well kinda! We have maybe 7 boxes of things at my parents house that I just couldn't part with, you know that important stuff like my whole collection of Babysitters Club books! Just kidding I don't have those book, but man do I wish I did those were my favorites when I was younger! We also have the things we are taking with us to Virginia, and here is what the back of our van looks like....

We have already packed it even though we don't leave until Friday because we are leaving the mission house we have been staying in tomorrow and we will be spending our last night in Oklahoma at my parents house. My twin sister and her girls are spending the night there too, so it should be lots of fun...slumber party!

So today is my 8 year anniversary of being married to the most wonderful person ever!
See look how cute he is! Anyway, we thought we would put the kids to bed early since we didn't

have a sitter and then we would eat dinner together with no kids! Well by 6:15 Ray and I were starving so we put the kids to bed! It is 8:00p.m. now Benjamin is the only one asleep, but at least they are all in their beds. So Ray went and got dinner....bbq...it is Rays anniversary too! And we got to eat alone!! It has been a great 8 years being Mrs. Foreman! I wouldn't change anything that has happened, all the bumps along the way have brought us where we are today. As I am typing this, he is in the other room singing and it makes me smile. I guess I should put a disclaimer on the top of this blog that says.....kinda mussy reader beware!

vacation in OKC

So I guess since we are leaving and feel like we won't be back for awhile we have felt the need to do all the things in OKC we haven't done with the kids...and we decided it last week! We have been to several places around the city, and here are some of our stops....

We went to the capital

This is the kids running up the stairs...well all but Benjamin who like always was stuck in his stroller! We waled all around the inside of the capital with Ray as our tour guild!

We went to the Edmond Historical Society Museum, and that was pretty cool. They had a place for kids to play and pretend they were different people. They could dress up or do art, there was even a garden. Oh and a jail...one of my kids look a little to comfortable in the jail! Here is a picture of some of the kids doing some art work.

Then we went to the Railway museum which was Timothy's favorite. We took a train ride and Benjamin hated every minute of that! The kids got to get on all the trains and see everything, it was pretty cool.

And lat we have gone to the zoo. I really wanted to see the new childrens zoo and it was pretty cool. Here is a picture of Parker and Timothy trying to be monkeys...it wasn't to hard!

We have a great time seeing lots of new things! Which is kinda sad because Ray and I have lived in Norman forever...I guess it just took moving out of the country as a reason to see the sites here!

Lizzie's bath time troubles!

This is a post me daughter would die if she knew I was doing! In fact I was telling this story to my mom and she got very upset. But she doesn't know I have a blog and if she did she has no idea how to find it...so I doubt she will ever read it!

For those of you who don't know Lizzie very well, she a girly girl! She wants to look perfect and she wants everything to be perfect from her hair down to the shoes she is wearing! If you know me very well, you know she didn't get this from me....must be Ray!

See, here is her picture...she looks just about perfect!
Okay so on with my story, I made all the kids take a bath before they ate dinner, and Lizzie was the last one to get in the tub. She used the potty before she got in the tub like she always does, and then she got right in. Timothy was in the bathroom with us and he was standing on the outside of the bathtub playing in the water with a cup.

Well the time came for me to help Lizzie rinse out her hair and Timothy of course thought he would help. You are probably thinking...how nice of him, what a helper. But I thought...please Timothy get out of my way. And he did get out of my way. I guess he thought if he wanted ton help Lizzie rinse out her hair he needed to find his own water to do that....and he did.

Well what I didn't mention before is that when Lizzie went to the bathroom, she didn't flush the toilet...and the water Timothy found was from the toilet. I guess you can figure out what happened next. Timothy dumped the toilet water on Lizzie's head, Lizzie started screaming, I couldn't stop laughing...because it was funny, and Lizzie jumped out of the bath with shampoo still in her hair!

She did get in the shower and cried the entire time she was in there, I'm not sure if she was crying because she was so upset about what had happened or because she was so upset that I thought it was so funny....because it was!

Let the good times roll....

Well I have started hearing people say to me this is the last time we will do this, or this is the last time we will be here...kinda strange. This has really come faster then I thought it would! I remember the calls we got last August saying we were being delayed and I thought our time would never come...but it is here.

We have been spending time with family and friends and I have been having lots of "girls night outs"! It has been a great time to just be with the people we love. And see family we don't get to see very often. I am thankful for facebook and skype...we will really be able to stay connected with everyone that way!

We still have a few things to get rid of...anyone need a wedding dress!? The kids have been great about sharing their the things we don't have room for with their friends, it makes it easier when they are not upset about not being able to take everything.

We only have about two weeks left here in Oklahoma before we start our drive to Virginia, and I am really looking forward to that! We are doing a vacation on the way...don't judge, but we are stopping at Loretta Lynns ranch Hurricane Mills so I can fulfill a long time dream! I know that is very sad isn't it!! But I do love the movie A Coal Miners Daughter!!
