Living the life!

We had a great day yesterday. We took a road trip to a town in Romania called Contanta and went to the Black Sea. We had so much fun. The drive there took us about 3 to 3 1/2 hours....it should have taken 2 1/2 but there was lots of traffic. We saw some really cool things on the way. We drove through lots of little villages and by the side of the road people were just lined up trying to sell there things to you. They were selling fruit and so veggies and some other things that I wasn't sure what they were. It is so strange to see some of things, like driving through a city and there among the cars is a horse and it is pulling a cart with a family in it!

There is also tons of sunflowers here. They are grown for the oil and I think also for the seeds. I tried to take a picture of them, but we were driving so it didn't turn out very well, but here it is anyway!
This is the best picture I had, but it was just beautiful, all the rows and rows of sunflowers. So we finally made it to the Black sea, and here is a picture of it from the cable car we rode to get to the other side....that was interesting!

We had a great time on the beach, we played in the water, and the kids played in the sand. Parker had a great time riding waves in! Timothy of course didn't want to get in the water so he spent most of his time in the sand.
Its hard to tell this, but this is Parker, way out in the water!
Me and the little boys playing in the sand!
Lizzie playing with our neighbors daughter. And last but not least here is Ray and Benjamin!
So we had a great day, we came home with a little sun burn, super tired and sand in some crazy places...but it was all worth it!

bed time!

So if you saw my video I put on facebook the other day then you would know we only have one air conditioner and that it is in my room. Well that makes bed time interesting for my kids. They have ceiling fans and floor fans in their rooms, but it is still hot. And especially for Parker who sleeps on the top bunk in his room. So for the last week the kids have been sleeping in our room....

This is just 3 of the kids, Benjamin is on the other side of the bed. Here is a picture of Benjamin, I couldn't fit him in with the other kids!

So it is wall to wall kids in our room at night. We have two fans blowing on us and the air conditioner going! We are ready for some cooler weather, until it gets here and it is to cold then we will be ready for warm weather again!

ahhh Romania

It has been awhile since I have posted a blog, but I have been kinda busy.....moving to a new country and all! So we made it to Romania....14 checked bags, 6 carry ons, 6 person items, 1 car seat, and 1 stroller and all 4 kids! It was quit a trip! We have been here for a week now and we are kinda getting adjusted. If only Benjamin would let go and get adjusted to the tome change life would be a bit easier.

SO far we have had some interesting experiences. On our third night here, Benjamin had to go to the ER to get stitches in his top lip because he fell and split it i half....seriously! SO that was fun. We are blessed to be living next to another American family and they took me and Benjamin to the ER and did all the talking! We have also been shopping and I have bought some stuff for the living room and some basic stuff for our house. We went to a market that sol all kindas of crazy things!
Here is picture of the back part of the market that sold all kinds of stuff, from fruit and vergies, to fishing stuff. It was pretty cool.
I have gotten used to cooking here, it isn't to different, but just different enough to make it more time consuming! Her is a picture of our first dinner I made for the family!

All in all we are doing good. We start language next week so that should be fun. I will keep on posting new blogs as I remember but we all know I am not good at remembering anything! One last picture, this is of the front of our house, well more like on the street in front of our house!
