So today is the day I have been waiting for for about 4 weeks.....my Mom's packaged arrived in the mail! We also received a package from Ray's Granddad that contained tons of movies and vitamins for the kids! But in the package from my mom held the must wonderful thing ever.....Vanilla Carmel coffee creamer! I know some of you are saying really....coffee creamer...and my answer is yes! There is no such thing as good coffee creamer here in Romania so I am happy to have this! She also sent Lizzie's bday present, lots of candy, some spices and a couple of movies, oh and kool-aid. I was going to take a picture of all our new loot spread out, but as soon as I unpacked the boxes things started to disappear! So I have no pictures.

Also today we had to go to a clinic and get physicals for our visa's. That was fun. I learned that Benjamin needs to start taking vitamin D and that Lizzie has a heart mummer. She will have to go get an ultrasound to see what is going on. And its a good thing that in Ray's Granddads box we got tons of vitamins since little Benny needs them. But we were told he can only start taking them when the weather cools off. I have no idea why!

Tomorrow is Ray's birthday, he is the third one of us spending his birthday in Romania. We are going to go to dinner with our language teacher and her husband plus another couple. It should be fun.

I have started using small amounts of the language, but only with people I know speak English as well. There is a small store by our house that I walk to and buy bread from. There is a girl there who speaks wonderful English and helps me use my Romanian. I was so excited the other day when I came home and told Ray I said to Nicoltea (girls name at the store) that I wanted three loaves of bread in Romanian! I also asked her her name in Romanian which is why I know what it is!

So this is just a small glimpse in our day! We are getting used to our different life and we are really starting to enjoy it here!

Our day at a village church!

We had a great day today, we were able to go with our neighbors to a small church about an hour east of here. The church was in a small village and there was lots of wonderful people there. On the way to the church we drove through lots of little villages and here are some pictures....
This is a picture of a lady cutting her grass with a sickle.

These next two pictures are my favorite thing to see. I have seen people in the city driving these carts, but mostly it is in the villages.

Okay, so this brings me back to the church and what we were doing there. This church was reaching out to their community by inviting children to come and have lunch and have watermelon. There was also lots of singing and some kids put on a skit. There was also lots of preaching. Here is a picture of the inside of the church.

It was super hot because there was no air conditioner and I think it was like 100 degrees outside! Here is a picture of the bathroom...and yes we all used it! Lizzie would have rather wet her pants, but I made her go in!

They also made lunch for everyone. There was cabbage rolls, that have a Romanian name, but I can't spell it! So here is a picture of Parker's lunch and also of the ladies who were serving lunch to everyone. Oh and there was watermelon....lots of watermelon. Here is a picture of people cutting them!

And this very last picture I am going to post is just one that I thought was funny...these are the goats that are outside the church! I just love these small villages!!
